Nallawilli’s Directors have many decades of combined experience in design, construction, project management, international finance and procurement. It is the very foundation of Nallawilli’s business model that savings in construction and development can only come from delivering projects through a fully integrated platform, each discipline of which is coordinated by experts within the field. To this end, the Nallawilli’s Directors and their relevant experience are listed below.
John is a UK registered architect and worked with a number of International practices for 10 years before establishing his own Sydney-based studio, Urbaine Architecture, in 1995. Urbaine has been successful in several major International design competitions, including first place in the Sydney Town Hall Square design competition in 2000. Urbaine Architecture now operates from offices in Sydney, Shanghai, Sarajevo and Doha.
In 2005, he co-founded QuickSmart Homes, which delivered Australia’s first multi-level modular building, for student accommodation, in Canberra, in 2007. From there, he continued working extensively between Australia and China, procuring an environmentally sustainable modular supply chain, whilst liaising closely with various major shipping companies to ensure seamless delivery.
John brings extensive architectural knowledge to the Nallawilli team and an experience-based understanding of modular design and delivery. He also regularly writes and lectures on modular construction to audiences globally. He has been a Design Tutor at UTS, in Sydney and The University of New South Wales, since 2000.
The former CFO of Deutsche Bank in Australia and New Zealand, David previously held a wide range of senior roles for Deutsche in London, including Managing Director, Legal Entity Structuring and Analysis; and Group Finance Director and Regional Controller for Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and Deutsche Bank London.
David is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience at Director level, leading and managing complex Finance functions with broad governance and managerial responsibility. He was also a Director of a largely independent trustee board for various UK and offshore pension schemes valued in excess of £3bn.
As an important aspect of these senior roles, a significant involvement in a wide range of projects has been a key contributor to success during a long high profile career, both in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. David managed the Finance team across Australia and New Zealand, and managed the Audit relationship with KPMG. He was part of the Asia Pacific Regional Finance Management Team with Regional as well as ANZ responsibilities.
With 20 years’ experience in large multi-national and medium-sized organisations such as Siemens, Microsoft and Unisys, Scott is a thought leader with high levels of creativity and a collaborative management style. Scott has developed an exceptional combination of technical and management experience and is a proven business leader with a strong drive to succeed and with expertise in leading multi-dimensional teams to deliver excellence in complex business environments.
Over the past six years, Scott’s primary focus had been delivering business strategies for digital transformation. Managing the different business stakeholders within the enterprise delivering insight and innovative approaches to transformational change that are flexible enough to accommodate the ever-shifting customer and competitive landscape.
Scott has a thorough understanding of business operations, go-to-market strategies and business processes for complex environments. Scott has a proven record of mobilising resources to deliver world-class business solutions and attaining leading market positions through large-scale transformational change and strong revenue growth.
